Luontokoti-project 2022-2024

The Nature Home project is a three-year, nationwide project (2022–2024) by Moniheli and the Marttaliitto Association, which integrates immigrants into Finnish local nature and home gardens. The project creates inclusion, expands the circle of life and strengthens mental, physical and social well-being.

The project aims to strengthen immigrant participation and encounters by introducing integrated immigrants to Finnish local nature, natural products and home gardening in nature- and climate-friendly ways, together with experts and volunteers from the Martha Association. The project supports multicultural and immigrant organizations in developing their operations from a nature and environmental perspective and gives organizations tools to increase the well-being of their members through nature.

JoMoni ry is the local partner of the project. Through the project, we organize activities in collaboration with Joensuu Martta, especially for those belonging to our target groups.
