New Finnishness Day will take place on 12 May 2026 from 10:00 to 14:00 at Pakkahuone

New Finnishness Day celebrates multicultural Finland and Joensuu. The event has become an annual tradition, and this year we are celebrating it for the 18th time. The programme includes music and cultural performances from different countries, opportunities to participate in community art, and presentation stands by various organisations (including International House Joensuu, Africans in Joensuu, Suomen Arki ry, and Luovi/Järki project).

The event is open to everyone and free of charge. Free coffee will be served.
